5/22 – Flyin’ High Again!

Left on Red returned to Flyer’s in Parma on Saturday, May 22nd and once again the band had a great time playing there. A little bit of rain washed the volleyball players off of the outdoor court and brought the crowd into the bar leaving little to do but party…and party we did! Special thanks to all of the LOR regulars who also made it out – it just wouldn’t be the same without you!!!

5/15 – David B’s Grill & Pub

Left on Red’s trip south to David B’s in Barberton on Saturday, May 15th proved to be well worth the drive! We were cheered on by a number of drummer Mike “MacDaddy” McCartney’s friends and family and a room full of enthusiastic David B patrons. People were dancing and singing along the entire night which made it an absolute blast for the members in the band!

We were also pleased to have a guest guitarist, Melvin (Dave Tudor’s buddy), jump in and lead the way on an all funked-up rendition of Mustang Sally. The guy’s definitely got some chops!!

Special thanks to Rob for having Left on Red down at David B’s and we definitely look forward to returning. Not a question of if, just a question of when!

5/1 – the Boneyard – Go Cavs!

Left on Red made it’s first appearance at the Boneyard on Saturday, May 1st. The band kicked off immediately after the Cavs pulled off an impressive come from behind victory in Game #1 against the Celtics! The energy kept right on rolling late into the night as the band played virtually non-stop for 2-1/2 hours! The night included a guest appearance by former Left on Red drummer, Mark Kovachick, who sat in on “Man in the Box” and “American Band” without missing a beat. It was also good to see our friend Ron Lewis, the original LOR bass player, out on the town to see the band!

The night was capped off by an enthusiastic wedding crowd that came in and rocked with the band until the end. LOR also unleashed a couple of new Bon Jovi tunes for the first time, “Livin’ on a Prayer” and “You Give Love a Bad Name”, along with some J. Geils. All were well received so you can expect to hear more of this type of music from the band now that the keyboards have been added to the mix! We’re really excited about our new sound and judging by the response, so is everybody else!

Thanks to everybody who made it out to the Boneyard and to everybody who stayed and rocked with the band after the game! We will be back at the Boneyard on Saturday, July 3rd. See you then!!!
